Sony laptop died.
Very unhappy with my new laptop. After 2 successive Toshiba laptops, which lasted around 18 months before failing, my new Sony lasted just 2 months. I got it out at a client meeting today, and it came up with error message “didn’t hibernate properly” or some such, and it’s now as dead as a dodo. Furious. It’s taken 4 hours to get it to the point where it is able to do a hardware diagnostic.
I’ve lost 2 hours of working time this afternoon, and Lord knows how long before I get it back working. And if I take it back to the Sony store where I bought it from, they’ll just shrug and say it’s a not there problem no doubt.Â
Aaaarrrrggghhhh! Three projects on the go. Thank goodness most of the info is on basecamp.
